Natale 2008: la casa di Babbo Natale a Rivoli
Per questo Natale 2008, tante le iniziative pensate dalle citta’ italiane per i piu’ piccini, ma anche per i grandi che almeno in questo periodo dell’anno tornano bambini. Oggi vi portiamo a Rivoli, in provincia di Torino, dove, a partire dal 6 dicembre 2009, sara’ allestita in piazza Martiri della Liberta’ la casa di Babbo Natale.
Torna l’appuntamento per rivivere anche in Piemonte l’atmosfera di un villaggio del Nord d’Europa. Si potra’ entrare gratuitamente, per ammirare la Casa di Babbo Natale, dove Santa Claus e gli elfi saranno pronti a ricevere tutti i bambini. E nell’ufficio postale allestito potrete anche spedire la vostra letterina, sperando che i vostri desideri vengano esauditi.
E ancora, l’Angolo degli Gnomi, la Stanza delle Storie e i tanti laboratori allestiti per l’occasione. I bambini poi potranno partecipare allo scambio dei giochi. Si potra’ poi portare del materiale didattico da distribuire alle famiglie in difficolta’. E mentre i bambini si divertono, i grandi potranno gironzolare tra le bancarelle del mercatino natalizio dove trovare tante idee regalo.

Yes I love this! My husband and I each speak our eothmr tongue with our little Luca, and consequently he gets a lot of both languages each day. We’re very relaxed too in our approach. I must speak Italian sometimes because we have family that doesn’t speak English. Plus, sometimes I miss it and intentionally will go out of the way to speak only Italian with my older boys and husband, so Luca hears me speak Italian- but I usually only speak English with him. Learning the two languages seems to be effortless for him. The more he wants something the more he insists in both languages. He hears his parents speak predominantly our eothmr tongue with him and yet he hears us each speak the other language also. There doesn’t yet seem to be any confusion. I think kids are a lot smarter than they get credit for, and that we don’t need to stress so much about the bilingual thing. Meh For the first 10 & 8 years of their lives (respectively) my eldest only knew English. After moving to Italy and experiencing the full immersion it didn’t take very long at all until they were bilingual. I’m glad to hear you used your own modified version too. I think the strict OPOL method, while it may work perfectly, is difficult to follow to a T. So far, my method is working. (By the way, we almost named Luigi Luca instead, but changed our minds and decided on Luigi. Otherwise, I would have a Luca too!).
